In collaboration with Casa Ysasi Studio, our ultimate goal with this project is to study and build a series of simple furniture pieces that are designed and equipped for a musical “Lifestyle.” In case study 1, we built a credenza that is simple in form, simple in construction, and has a scientific attention to proportions. These proportions are tuned for one variable: disk-jockeying. While we intend to design

each object with a very specific use, we also hope to build each piece with an adaptability in mind for the everyday user. We are in the process of building this now. You can see the custom construction set I made for our carpenters.
